Grassroots politics and proportional representation are major Green electoral goals. In fact, the Democratic Party may expect Green opposition in many areas that it chooses to run centrist Democrats who tend to push the Democrats toward the right-wing. Consequently, the Democrats may be facing a losing future at the polls unless they join with the Greens and others in the promotion of proporational representation, a more humane expression of democracy.
